The first IEEE International Electric Vehicle Conference (IEVC) will facilitate the exchange of information on new global trends in technology, engineering, standards and deployment aspects among academic and industrial thought leaders of the fast-growing electric mobility ecosystem via a unique cross-organizational platform. IEVC is an international venue for those with an interest in the transformation of the transportation industry via electrification, including electrical vehicle designers, component and infrastructure system developers, manufacturers, utility experts, corporate executives, technical analysts, researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, legislators, regulators and standardization experts.

Welcome to the Editor Press Center

BMW Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive - March 6, 2012

BMW Manufacturing has participating cars in a ride and drive event that is part of the IEEE International Electric Vehicle Conference in Greenville. They will have a 5 series with start/stop technology, the 7 series hybrid, Nissan Leaf, BMW Mini E and a Chevy Volt. The site is available to journalists from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The driving tour runs from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Please call Susan at 252-325-0985 for location details.

Press Registration Information

Attendance at the IEVC 2012 is complimentary for the press. Please provide your name, publication/affiliation, and your e-mail address to: chris.burke@btbmarketing.com and we will arrange to have your press badge printed in advance and awaiting you at registration. If you wish to register on-site, please go to the conference registration area to request a press registration, and be prepared to present your business card to the registration staff. Copies of presentation abstracts will be made available as soon as possible; full conference proceedings will be available in approximately 6 – 8 weeks. Press badge will admit you to all the technical sessions, plenary talks, exhibits and special events*.

*Please note that due to limited transportation, the technical tours are NOT included with your press badge.

Media Center

The 2012 IEVC media center will be located in room 103 on the first floor of the convention center. Open to all registered members of the media, it will provide complimentary Internet access and space to work and conduct interviews. The media center will be open at 8:00AM on Monday, March 5 through the end of the conference.
